There are three ways to train at The Garage4150: group training classes, private training sessions, and group training with endurance coaching. Read below to determine which training program will best fit your needs and goals.

Workout in the Park
We hold a workout in the park on Saturday or Sunday each weekend. The weekend workouts are open to all. Want to come see what it’s all about? Check our main page for details, email Nicole at nicole @ the garage4150.com, or call 703-919-0425. Most Workouts in the Park are held at North Boulder Park.
Get me on the team
If group training is what you are looking for then you have come to the right place. We start everyone with our Foundations Course.
The Foundations Course is a series of 6 classes that familiarize you with the movements used in the group class, introduce you to the type and intensity of workouts performed at our facility, and get you to the point where you feel comfortable and ready to join the Group Class. The Foundations Course is a prerequisite to joining our Group Classes and is limited to 2 people per Course.

Once you have completed the Foundations Course you are ready to join our Group Classes.
Group Classes
Our group classes are the heart of what we do. Remember what it felt like to be part of a team? There’s a sense of camaraderie, accountability, and shared effort that invigorates and inspires. Our group classes mix the younger with the older and the men with the women. Each workout is scaled according to individual abilities allowing for a competitive environment between all ages and skill levels. Come join our team.
I’d like some one on one attention
Our private training sessions incorporate the same exercises and methods found in the group classes. We tailor each session to the individual. Private training is a great option for both the individual who would like more one on one attention before joining a group class and the advanced athlete who would like to develop a certain skill.
Endurance Training
You want to run the Bolder Boulder or you are thinking about racing your first triathlon. Or you have done the long distance events but training consumed your life, your bike seat spent more time between your legs than your significant other (oops, did we say that?), and you wallowed in injury, fatigue, and race disappointment.
Our endurance program is built on top of our group training. First, we get you dialed in to our group training methods and workouts. Then we add sport-specific, high intensity, interval and time-trial based workouts to your training plan. Just a couple, no need to overdo it. We know, this sounds scary and different!! Give us as little as 6 hours of your week to train for your sport and we think you’ll be very impressed with what you can accomplish.
If you are looking for a more integrated and personalized endurance program on top of your group training, we offer personalized endurance training plans and coaching.
Teen Summer Program
Maybe you want to prepare for try-outs for a high school sport in the fall or you want to be able to tackle a long backpacking trip at the end of the summer, or maybe you want a fun challenging experience for the summer. Beginning in June, we will offer a teen program. This class will meet 3 days per week with the option to attend an additional weekend workout.
The focus of this class is strength and conditioning, education, and technique. The program utilizes the transference of aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, gymnastics basics, barbell lifting, and olympic weightlifting skills to heighten achievement in sport. We don’t believe in sport-specific training. We know that athletes who are comprehensive in all measures of athleticism perform better in sport. A large portion of every class focuses on learning proper technique to ensure safety and effectiveness of training.
This class is coached by Nicole Gibson who has over 8 years experience coaching and training children ages 5-18.
